The Morris Plains GOP is committed to the Republican Party platform. Through our grass roots efforts of voter registration drives and Republican events, we are making a difference in Morris Plains! We regularly meet with legislators, attend hearings, and back candidates that support a vision of Republican values. We have been successful in advocating for improvements in our community so we can build a better world for our children.
Our Mission
The Morris Plains Republican Party is dedicated to improving our "Community of Caring" through the values and tenets of the Republican Party: Low Taxes, Small Government, and Superior Services. We continue to grow the party base with voter registration drives and Republican awareness efforts. We work tirelessly to improve conditions in our community and affect positive change in the world around us. We affirm the importance of working together to find solutions. The Morris Plains Republican Party supports our local, county, state and federal Republican public servants to ensure that Morris Plains continues to be a great place to live and raise a family.
Our volunteer base is growing daily as citizens have found a voice and renewed sense of community. You too can make a difference. Please join our club!
THIS is accountability...
Being Mayor means being accountable to the people you serve.
It means answering the tough questions. Listening when residents have concerns. Explaining decisions. And taking responsibility not just when things go right, but when challenges arise.
Mayor Karr understands that the Mayor works for the people of Morris Plains. He owns decisions, addresses problems head on, proactively recognizes when something needs attention and takes responsibility for finding solutions.
Accountability also means being present and accessible at a moments notice. Showing up for the Borough. Listening to residents even when the conversation is difficult and making sure concerns are heard.
You may not agree with every decision. But you should expect your Mayor to listen, to be straightforward with you, and to take responsibility for the decisions made under his leadership.
Because holding public office isn't just about having authority. It's about accepting responsibility.

THIS is independence...
Local government should be about doing what's right for the community not what's right for a political party.
Mayor Karr is not afraid to make his own decisions, ask tough questions, or take a stand when he believes it's in the best interest of Morris Plains. He leads with integrity, honesty, commitment and transparency.
He looks at each issue on its merits. He listens to different perspectives. He works with people regardless of party affiliation. He puts in the work and he has the conviction to make decisions based on what he believes is right for the Borough.
Keeping Morris Plains safe, managing our tax dollars responsibly, maintaining our infrastructure, and protecting our quality of life are issues that affect all of us.
Jason's decisions aren't about following a party line. They're about putting Morris Plains first.
In November, Jason isn't asking you to vote for a party...He's asking you to vote for Morris Plains.

25 years later, we still remember.

THIS is experience...
When you're responsible for leading a community, experience matters.
It's knowing how Borough government works. Understanding the issues. Knowing who to call when there's a problem...and how to get things done.
Mayor Jason Karr brings that experience to Morris Plains EVERY DAY.
He's built relationships with our Borough departments, understands the challenges facing our town, and knows that decisions made today can have consequences for taxpayers and residents for years to come.
There is no substitute for experience especially when the unexpected happens and leadership is put to the test.
Morris Plains deserves a Mayor who's ready on Day One. Jason Karr already is.

THIS is commitment.
Leadership during a crisis is easy to see. But some of the most important work happens quietly. Day after day, meeting after meeting, conversation after conversation, and decision after decision.
It means listening to residents, working with Borough employees and volunteers, responding when concerns come up, and staying engaged long after the immediate crisis has passed.
Mayor Karr brings the same steady, independent, hands-on approach to the everyday responsibilities of serving Morris Plains that he demonstrated during the storm. He understands that public service is not about recognition. It's about being present, doing the work, and following through.
This kind of commitment matters. And Morris Plains deserves nothing less.
Thank you, @jasonkarr.mpmayor, for continuing to show up for the Borough and doing it all because you love this Borough not because you want the spotlight.
